Arguably, there’s a lot of indie rogue-like H.P. Lovecraft inspired games out in the wild. However, if you’re looking for one that has good animations and a solid feel to it, you might be interested in Blini Games’ Lovecraft’s Untold Stories.
The upcoming Lovecraftian game in question set to hit PC via Steam explores the act of fighting cultists and uncanny monsters from the Mythos. And if you’re not sick of the rogue-like genre, the usual stuff like improving your skills, weapons, and gear will be a thing to look forward to as well.
In addition to the above features found in the horror game, looking for clues and information about the Old Ones and the Outer Gods, and solving puzzles and challenges are more than present.
If you want an even deeper take on the game, you can read over the official description right here that outlines what Lovecraft’s Untold Stories is all about:
“You have to find a way to foil the Old Ones’ plans—but the path is yours to choose, and brute force may not be the best solution. Will you search for clues and information to stop the cultists before they summon the Outer Gods, or will you just kill everything in your way, until there’s no one left to invoke the cosmic horrors to our world?”
While you have plenty of time to ponder which path is the best, the official trailer should give you a good idea what gameplay mechanics are nestled within the game Lovecraft’s Untold Stories:
You’ll be able to grab a copy of this game when June 22nd rolls around. Of course, the indie game is billed to ship out for PC as of this moment and will launch on Steam Early Access.
