Razer Huntsman Elite Keyboard With Opto-Mechanical Switch Launches For $199.99

Razer announced that two new mechanical keyboards are available right now. The Razer Huntsman Keyboard and the Razer Huntsman Elite Keyboard are both available right now in the U.K., Europe and the U.S., starting at $149.99 and $199.99 respectively.

The Razer Huntsman is the standard version of the mechanical keyboard, featuring a 10 key rollover with anti-ghosting tech so there’s no key cut-off when you’re pressing multiple keys at once. There’s on-board cloud storage for up to five customizable user profiles, 100 million keystroke lifespan, and a 1000hz ultrapolling along with Chroma backlighting with up to 16.8 million different color customization options, all for $149.99.

The Razer Huntsman Elite comes with everything that the standard Razer Huntsman comes with, but with a little extra sugar and spice. This includes the Razer Synapse 3 cross-compatibility, so that you have unified cloud-based hardware integration right there at the very tips of your fingers, allowing you to customize the lighting mechanisms, the user profiles, and the granular color schemes to match the sort of visual livery that you desire out of your gaming keyboard.

What’s more is that the Huntsman Elite sports the propriety Razer Opto-Mechanical Switch, which allows you to perform rapid-fire key presses with a tactile feel so that you have complete control over the kind of response that the keyboard is outputting based on your lightning fast key presses. This is all thanks to the Razer Green switches utilizing lighter actuation force at 45g compared to the 60g depression rate of actuation found in most other keyboards. Lighter switches enable for faster key presses, which means you can pull off more actions per minute than other gaming boards out there.

It also sports 100 million keystroke lifespan, so you should be able to get some good mileage out of the Razer Huntsman Elite. Razer also gave it a braided fiber cable so the wiring should wear thin and snap on you like some other wired peripherals out there.

The Razer Huntsman Elite is available right now for $199.99, and you can learn more about it by visiting the official Razer website.
