Star Wars’ Spin-Off Films On Hold After Solo Bombs At The Box Office, States Report

There’s a rumor running wild like Hulk Hogan over on Collider, where they’re reporting that LucasFilms and Disney have put a hold on Star Wars spin-off films after Solo: A Star Wars Story bombed out at the box office.

The report indicates that the Boba Fett film and the Obi-Wan Kenobi film have both been put on hold while Kathleen Kennedy and the rest of LucasFilms focus on Star Wars: Episode IX and the trilogy of films to follow being helmed by Rian Johnson.

Most websites who have taken to defending LucasFilms’ sociopolitically-charged Star Wars films have indicated that Solo: A Star Wars Story bombed out due to releasing in May, and because it arrived just months after Star Wars: The Last Jedi, claiming that Star Wars fatigue may be to blame. Of course, this ignores the fact that Avengers: Infinity War and Deadpool 2 both launched alongside Solo: A Star Wars Story and did gangbusters, with Avengers: Infinity War reaching $2 billion in global box office revenue, as reported by Forbes.

What most news sites are avoiding to address is that most fans opted to boycott future Star Wars films after witnessing the abomination that was Star Wars: The last Jedi. This even led to some fans campaigning for The Last Jedi to be remade and remade right.

<BR.
Most people recognize that Solo isn’t as bad as The Last Jedi, but have boycotted it anyway as a way to get the point across that Star Wars is being grossly mishandled.

Many of those employed by Disney to write Star Wars material have been attacking fans for boycotting the films, and telling them that they’re detestable and white supremacists.

Many Star Wars fans are quickly becoming red-pilled and anti-SJW after being attacked by Disney’s imperial forces. A lot of this is being spawned from SJW writers in media who have been attacking YouTubers and content creators who have been telling their fans to avoid supporting Star Wars, such as Geeks + Gamers.

As for the films being put on hold… Collider believes that the projects could get picked back up if LucasFilms is given a pitch that they can’t refuse, or something changes in the production schedule, but for now the Star Wars spin-off films will be iced until Rian Johnson completes the current trilogy and the second trilogy of films based on characters from The Last Jedi are finished.

(Thanks for the news tip Mike)
