Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Features Every Past Character, Launches Dec 7th

Nintendo announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch is set to launch on December 7th, 2018 later this year. While it’ll miss the Black Friday rush, it will be out in time for Christmas on the Nintendo Switch.

The game will feature every single character from past iterations of Super Smash Bros., along with all new directional air recovery. Short hop attacks have been added, along with perfect shield counters where if you press the shield button at just the right time you’ll perform a counter.

Nearly all the characters have brand new moves and enhanced abilities. There are also epsilon versions of some characters, including Daisy being a slightly alternate version of Princess Peach.

Mega Man, Solid Snake, Pac-Man, Bayonetta, Ryu and other guest characters are also returning. And Ridley from the Metroid series has also been added to the series.

In addition to all the fighters, and the new specials, they’ve also brought back all of the previous game modes, and all of the previous stages.

Additionally, there are stage varieties now. So each stage has an alternate version to play through, and some stages can be destroyed.

Another significant change is that 1-on-1 damage has been increased, so those of you playing 1-on-1 matches will note that damage scales slightly higher than before.

The video is pretty lengthy as it covers many of the new changes and alterations for each character.

I imagine this will be a very popular game during the FGC tournaments starting in 2019. You can look to get your hands on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate starting December 7th, 2018 later this year, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
