Warner Bros. and IO Interactive have announced Hitman 2 via live stream. If the name of the game doesn’t give it away, the second title is a sequel to the first iteration that released back on March 11th, 2016. Hitman 2 is said to do away with the episodic release and will instead launch as a complete game for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 13th, 2018.

IO Interactive is no longer under Square Enix and now happens to be with Warner Bros., not sure if this a good move or not, but time will tell how this new partnership will pan out.

Anway, the devs took to a live stream to reveal what folks can expect in partie deux through the following description and video trailer:

“Unravel the past of the elusive Shadow Client as you track your targets across 6 new exotic locations and improvise the biggest kills in franchise history.”

As for a quick summation of Hitman 2, players can expect to assume the role of Agent 47 yet again, while traveling globally across a mix of “bustling international locations,” including a vibrant Miami setting with a motorsport race going on.

From sun-kissed streets to dark rainforests bathed in the tears of clouds, each “intricate” location provides multiple paths to discover — like in previous installments.

Moreover, the masterful Agent 47, in the second edition, embarks on a mission to hunt the elusive “Shadow Client” to find the answer to end this chase once and for all. However, the man dressed shaper than piano wire learns the hidden truth about his past, and things take an unexpected turn.

We also learn that the “Sniper Assassin” mode will be present as a standalone feature that offers up a co-op experience, allowing two players to work together online to snuff high profile targets. The Sniper Assassin mode can be played solo if that’s your thing.
