The Golden Lovers recently helped promote the upcoming release of Spike Chunsoft’s Fire Pro Wrestling World for the PlayStation 4 on August 28th. The game originally came out last year in the summer for PC on Early Access. Spike is now planning on releasing Fire Pro Wrestling World on the PS4 starting at the end of August.
Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi were on hand to help promote the game given that the NJPW roster has been confirmed to be part of the official release of FIre Pro Wrestling World. For those of you who don’t know, back in the old days the Fire Pro games could never afford to have the licensed wrestlers from the trademarked federations in the games, they used to modify the names and the looks slightly but still feature similar wrestlers on the roster. These days, however, Spike has gained enough prominence where they can actually feature the NJPW roster in the game. This will definitely help raise the profile of NJPW and broaden the market appeal of guys like Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes, and the Bullet Club.
You can check out the trailer below.
Fire Pro Wrestling World is a feature-rich game, sporting quick matches, exhibition matches, career modes, tournament play, league play, and online play where you can customize how you want to play and who you want to play with, including both public and private rooms for up to four players.
You can also edit the wrestlers, create your own wrestlers, and share them online using the FPW Net feature. You can also edit your own rings, create your own custom title belts, modify movesets and even edit the referees.
The official NJPW roster includes Chaos, Bullet Club, and Suzuki Goon. They also have plans on adding additional wrestlers to the roster as well. The career mode this time around will also focus on the chase for the IWGP Championship title, as you can join any of the NJPW factions and fight to become the top of the crop.
The game is set to release on PS4 on August 28th or you can pick up a copy of the game from the Steam store for $29.99.
