Giants Software Elaborates On Farming Simulator 19 Farm Creation System

Focus Home Interactive and Giants Software are gearing up to release Farming Simulator 19 in Q4 2018 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Ahead of that, though, the latter name wrote up the game’s first dev blog sharing details about the new and improved features to come.

The first blog is about the new “farm creation system.” The central pillar of this new system is that it’s a change in how owning land works. Instead of purchasing single fields, you can now buy tracts of land that include fields, forests, and space for buildings.

From here you can create new fields, place silos for storage, create pastures, and cut down trees to make lumber.

This system ties into three new modes:

  • New Farmer – a balanced starting experience that offers some equipment and a small pre-placed farm that’s ready to be upgraded. This mode is similar in playstyle to previous Farming Simulator games and recommended for newcomers.
  • Farm Manager – grants a large amount of money but no farm space or equipment. This leaves you with an open canvas to craft whatever you want.
  • Start From Scratch – as the name implies, this is the most hardcore option, enabling realistic settings and starting you with no land, no farm, and limited money.

With the addition of the “placeable system,” it allows you to choose where your farm is located and how it looks. Decoration placeables will add to the “look” and “feel” of your farm, while pastures of animals and silo storages let you design its “efficiency.” This also lets you choose your house spawn point and hire your new canine friend.

In addition to the above, it even allows for multiple farms in one multiplayer server, with individual players owning different areas of the map.

And lastly, modding is fully supported in this new system. Community members can create anything for the placeable system, purchasable areas, NPCs and more.

With all of that said, Farming Simulator 19 will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 19th, 2018. You can learn more about this update by heading on over to forum.giants-software.com.
