Looking for a 2D game to play right now? If you’re a fan of simple 2D pixel art, digging, building and the usual indie game mix, you might find Wizard Mode’s MoonQuest worth checking out. MoonQuest is out now for PC via Steam Early Access and currently runs for $11.99.
A list of playable characters reside at the heart of MoonQuest, and one of those characters is the crescent figure: Moonman. And when I mean Moonman, I don’t mean the one that’s associated with Cloud Man and crew, but the one that illuminates the sky with a celestial glow.
Moreover, MoonQuest is a procedurally-generated action-adventure game — something you’ll find a dime on dozen on Early Access. However, each playthrough presents a new world to explore in your quest to illuminate the endless night.
Of course, you’ll be traveling the lost forest, delving into deep caves, storming castles, discovering vast seams of gold, and crafting the best of the best that’ll surely make the cosmos jealous.
If all of the aforesaid sounds like fun, you can check out MoonQuest’s official gameplay trailer right here:
“A procedurally-generated adventure game with roguelike and minecraftian gameplay. Each game generates a new world to explore with wild forests, giant mountains and ancient ruins. Harvest resources, find treasure, and forge the weapons that will help you on your journey.”
Other characters in MoonQuest that you can assume, besides the one and only Moonman, includes the underwater breathing Amphibian, the antennae detecting Elemental, and the ironclad Crusader. Each character comes fully equipped with different abilities and items to explore, which opt for a different style of play, too.
If you want to drop some of your hard earned cash on this game or learn more about it, MoonQuest is currently up on Steam Early Access. You can also head on over to playmoonquest.com to learn more.
