Publisher Perfect World and developer Gunfire Games, the same devs behind Darksiders 3, have a new game set to release sometime in 2019. This new game is titled Remnant: From the Ashes and aims to bring co-op action set in a post-apocalyptic world across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
It looks like Gunfire Games is sticking to its guns in that third-person will be the camera setup for From the Ashes, just like in Darksiders 3. The difference here is that the game in question is a co-op shooter where players will have to fend off a variety of tree creatures who hail from another dimension called “The Root.”
The post-apocalyptic game features a “dynamically generated” world or realms, where the usual Steam Early Access features such as crafting equipment, and base-building will be a thing.
Character creation will be in the game, accompanied by a level and role assignment system. With all of that said, the official description and video trailer sit below.
“The world is in ruins. Only a remnant of mankind remains, hunted to near extinction by horrors from another world. As one of the few survivors left, you will venture into portals to fantastic realms to gather the resources and firepower needed to fight b ack and retake what was lost.”
I’m sure the official gameplay trailer will offer up more on this game feature wise, but until then we’ll have to suffice with the announcement trailer and what it has to offer. However, if you’re looking for a co-op game set in a post-apocalyptic world, sporting procedurally generated realms and wood monsters 2019 is your year.
In the meantime, though, you can expect Remnant: From the Ashes to release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One worldwide at some point next year. The game’s official website can be reached by hitting up the given link remnantgame.com.
