The PlayStation Underground had the chance to sit down with the Toys For Bob devs and talk with them about one of the many levels in the game, which happens to be “Idol Springs” from the second game, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, in the upcoming collection known as Spyro Reignited Trilogy.
The 12 minute PlayStation Underground interview pertaining to the Reignited Trilogy not only covers the stage “Idol Springs” but much more. For instance, the team could not use all of the stuff from the original games, so they had to create a tool to extract those assets, meshes, pathfinders, enemy placements, and movements.

If you don’t know, the above footage is the first time Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! has been shown in the Reignited Trilogy, and to be honest, the gameplay footage shown brings back a lot of memories.
Speaking of Ripto’s Rage!, the publisher and developer over Reignited Trilogy plan to ship out the other two games through said package in HD, which happens to be Spyro the Dragon, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
Potential buyers can expect to dish out less than the regular price point of $59.99 and get it $20 bucks cheaper when it lands for public consumption. This package will launch near the end of Q3 for $39.99.
Moreover, no PC version has been announced yet, which means that folks who prefer to play on said platform will likely have to wait. Information on this version should be reflected on the game’s official web portal when announced.
