Hitman 2 Trailer Gives A Brief Overview Of Level Immersion

The oddly named Hitman 2 (and it’s odd because there’s already a Hitman 2 called Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, which came out in the early aughts for home console and PC) received a new trailer showcasing how to be an effective hitman.

The trailer is only a minute and a half long and it’s part of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s promotional campaign for the upcoming release of Hitman 2. The video is the first part of a series of trailers that will deep dive into the content of Hitman 2. There’s a collage of different locations, costumes and disguises that they quickly preview in the trailer.

You can check it out below.

It doesn’t really say much, but it does go over how the world is very reactive and runs on its own accord. People will do things and events will happen whether you attempt to affect them or not.

You can intercede with the outcome of certain circumstances, creating ripple effects that can be advantageous for your or disadvantageous for someone else.

The minutiae of carrying out hits or affecting the world aren’t really expounded upon, but I imagine that’s what the rest of the multi-part series is for.

We see some sniping, some guard getting pimped slap in the face with a fish, and Agent 47 roaming around through a throng of people.

I don’t know if this is the kind of trailer to really get non-fans hyped. The biggest problem is that it’s the sort of trailer that doesn’t really do much to separate itself from the first season of Hitman back in 2016.

Maybe we’ll see something a little more significant closer to the November 13th, 2018 release later this year. The game is set to release on PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One X.
