Rockstar Games has brought forth the official Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer showing what can be done during the turn of the century Wild West. Right now, the game is slated to release late October for home consoles.
The next installment in the Red Dead Redemption games will see the lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs of America in 1899. The turn of the century brought forth a lot of major events, however, people like Arthur Morgan and outlaws like the Van der Linde gang find that loyalty may only last for so long until it all burns out.
You can see what is currently doable in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 by checking out the newly posted gameplay trailer:
“Captured entirely from in-game footage, watch this introduction to Red Dead Redemption 2’s gameplay in 4K.”
According to the game’s story, after a bad robbery emerges in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. The group decides not to surrender, which forces federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation to stop the Van der Linde gang.
The gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As the journey becomes harsh, deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart forcing Arthur to make a choice between his own ideas and loyalty to the gang who raised him.
As seen above, you can insert actions such as hostility or friendliness to strangers and gang members, which can result in a variety of outcomes.
As for gameplay features that will be in the game include a prominent distinction between main and side quests, a big focus on taking care of your crew and horse(s), better gunplay, and a “deep” world that feels like it’s “alive.”
Rockstar Games will release Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th for PS4 and Xbox One.
