Lion Castle Entertainment and Motor Trend Group announced that the upcoming tuner-car racing game for home consoles and PC, Super Street: The Game, will be playable for the first time ever later this month at the GamesCom event set to take place in Cologne, Germany.
Super Street: The Game will be on display between August 21st and August 25th at the center of Hall 10.1, stand C-061. If you’re in attendance at GamesCom you can drop by the booth to get in some game time with the upcoming racing title.
The full version will feature a single-player career mode, offline split-screen support and online racing modes, along with official Thrustmaster steering wheel support.
At the end of July last month they released a trailer showcasing the game’s customization features, where there are more than 70 different brands and 700 different parts that you can use to customize nearly every aspect of your car. You can check out the trailer below to see how you can modify everything from the speakers to the lights to the tires and even the interior.
The customization in Super Street is a heck of a lot more deep than what I was expecting. If you enjoyed the Need For Speed: Underground games, you’ll likely find yourself neck-deep in the customization tools of Super Street.
The game reminds me a little bit of other car simulators such as Car Mechanic Simulator, insofar that you’ll be able to modify nearly every aspect of the car and make it your own.
We still haven’t seen any of the actual gameplay for Super Street: The Game, which is kind of scary given that the game is gearing up for release but they still won’t showcase the game’s car physics, handling, or what the performance is like.
I suppose those who attend GamesCom will be able to see what the gameplay is like in person and hopefully capture some footage as well.
