Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn Racing Games announced that V-Rally 4 has received its official U.K., release date. The game will release first for the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 starting September 7th. The PC version will then follow a couple of weeks later by releasing on September 25th in the U.K. Last (and probably least) will be the Nintendo Switch version of V-Rally 4, which still doesn’t have a release date but will arrive at some point later in the future.
In addition to announcing the U.K., release dates for V-Rally 4 for some of the home consoles and for PC, Bigben Interactive also released a new trailer for the game that was actually put together by the racing enthusiast outlet, Team VVV. You can check out the new footage for V-Rally 4 below, which covers some of the racing action from the Hillclimb mode during a rainy day-race on a Romanian track.
As pointed out in the press release, the Hillclimb discipline will extend across several nations, including tracks that go through the winding mountains of China, the twisting landscapes of Romania, and the hilly vistas of the United States.
There isn’t much else to go by at this point, but at least Bigben and Kylotonn are being very proactive when it comes to releasing new gameplay footage. Then again, V-Rally 4 is only a month out from release and it’s probably a safe bet that pumping out new footage and releasing more news and info about the game at this point is the only window of opportunity to build up some modicum of hype ahead of its release.
I do wish we received more info and footage really diving deep into the game’s physics and racing culture, as opposed to just some raw video clips of the different race types. But I guess beggars can’t be choosers, but they can definitely choose to avoid plopping down $60 day one until they get what the begged for.
