Kojima Productions announced that the playable demo and exhibition of Death Stranding has been pulled form this year’s Tokyo Game Show, set to take place in Tokyo, Japan. Kojima Productions will still be in attendance at this year’s trade show event in Japan, but only to support the PlayStation booth on September 23rd, 2018, along with offering goodies at the Kojima Productions Store.
The news went out on September 13th, 2018 where the company made the revelation about the delay in exhibiting the upcoming adventure-thriller by rolling out a tweet.

DEATH STRANDING won’t be playable nor in exhibition at #TGS2018. Our sincere apologies for those who were expecting so. However, we will be doing our best efforts for you at the Kojima Productions stage show (9/23 15:30 PlayStation booth) and the Kojima Productions Store! pic.twitter.com/MyOTyXjC82

The news was accompanied by a new teaser trailer that clocked in at 56 seconds, featuring a few clips from the previously released trailers.
There’s not a whole lot of info out on the game, and people are still trying to figure out what the heck it’s about. We do know that players take on the role of Sam Porter, played by Norman Reedus. He’s a delivery man of sorts… trekking across treacherous terrain to deliver very peculiar items.
We don’t really know what’s up with the people strung together through the black soot, or what the big man in the storm is, or the guy who can teleport, or Lea Seydoux’s character, but most people were hoping to get a few answers from the demo at the Tokyo Game Show.
It looks like we’ll have to wait a while longer before we can get an idea of just how the game plays and what the general gist of the mechanics are like.
