Devil May Cry 5 TGS Trailer Features Trish And Lady’s Return, New Weapons For Dante

Capcom released the TGS 2018 trailer for Devil May Cry 5, featuring the first ever full gameplay reveal for Dante. We finally get to see the aging and gruff Dante in action in a three minute trailer for the upcoming console and PC release of the hack-and-slash action title.

The trailer starts with Dante receiving a phone call from a guy telling him that he has a gig with the cash up front. We then see the aging Dante taking the fight to demons in some dark underworld type place with some death metal playing in the background.

Dante first starts shredding and slicing through demons with the Rebellion sword, but then we later see him using fiery obsidian fists to beat the living daylights out of monstrous otherworldly foes. This includes Dante unleashing a fierce uppercut, reminiscent to Ryu from Street Fighter.

As you can see, the flaming fists aren’t the only deadly part of Dante. He can also utilize a series of kicks to level enemies, send them hurdling over the edge of a broken floor that leads to an endless pit below, and showcase his acrobatic kicking abilities.

Some Ebony and Ivory twin-pistol action is also put on display, along with a sawed off shotgun that Dante uses to blast some demons into smithereens.

That’s all just within the first minute of the trailer.

The second half of the trailer showcases some of Nero’s abilities as well, including his new robotic arm that he uses to chain-whip enemies.

A couple of other familiar faces also make an appearance, including Lady and Trish.

There’s also the revelation of the Deluxe Edition content, which includes four new Devil Breaker arm replacements for Nero, one of which includes Mega Man’s X-Buster.

What’s odd is that you have to pay extra to gain access to the live-action cutscenes. Seems like that would have been included in the base package, but this is Capcom we’re talking about.

Devil May Cry 5 - Deluxe Edition

The Deluxe Edition also comes with 12 musical battle tracks from Devil May cry 1 through 4, an alternate announcer for the style ranks and title calls, and a special weapon for Dante called the Cavaliere R.

Devil May Cry 5 is due out next year on March 8th, 2019 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
