Deck13 Interactive and Focus Home Interactive managed to capture a solid audience with the AA action-horror game, The Surge. The body-horror sci-fi title received some DLC in the past, but the newest DLC seems to borrow from period-themes that Rockstar Games’ is gunning for with Red Dead Redemption 2 by setting the sci-fi hack-and-slash title in the Wild West.
The developers of The Surge rolled out a 22 second teaser trailer for the upcoming total conversion DLC expansion for the game titled The Good, The Bad, and The Augmented, which is scheduled to release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on October 2nd next month.
We’re excited to unveil The Surge’s newest expansion – The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented!

There’s an HD version of the teaser trailer that you can check out below.
As pointed out in the tweet, players will journey into a distorted re-envisioning of the western frontier as dreamed up by the CREO Corporation.
The exo-skeletons are still present but they now have a Wild West, steam-punk flavor to them, which is actually really unique when you think about it.
I do wonder if there will be any projectile based weaponry or if they’re going to stick with the melee stuff?
According to the developers you will be able to carryover your progress into the DLC or you can start it up by using the New Game+ feature.
It’s nice to see that there are still some developers out there willing to try something new and not overload their game with tedious DLC practices like Activision or Electronic Arts.
The Surge is available right now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The new DLC, The Good, The Bad, and the Augmented will be available during the first week of next month on October 2nd.
