Swords And Soldiers 2, Side-Scrolling RTS Launches On November 6th

Ronimo Games announced that the side-scrolling, action-oriented strategy game, Swords And Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon, is due for release on November 6th for the Xbox One, PS4, and on Steam for PC. The game is also scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop, but they don’t have a solid release date in target just yet.

The game features a full-on single-player campaign where you take control of a variety of hardened battle units, towering siege structures, and vicious walking tanks to take down the enemy. The single-player command centers around the commander of the Vikings, Redbeard, who attempts to fight through a world filled with orcs, monsters, and demons.

As Redbeard, players must guide their tribe through the forests of the north, the hot sands of the east, and eventually into the very depths of Hell itself in order to rid the world of the demon invasion. You can check out the teaser trailer for the game below to get an idea of what the visual art style is like.

The side-scrolling strategy title sees you having to gather and manage resources while acquiring and upgrading more than 45 different units, spells, and buildings that you’ll need to fortify while facing off against baddies on a 2D plane.

The 10-hour single-player campaign features more than 45 different levels, along with the ability to customize and outfit your troops with different equipment and spells.

Once you get done blasting through the single-player campaign, you can then take the fight online with the online competitive mode or you can challenge a friend to a local multiplayer fight in a one-vs-one split-screen bout.

This is a unique little real-time strategy title that puts a spin on the traditional isometric approach to the genre. It’s also nice to see that Ronimo Games hasn’t succumbed to the SJW agenda that has plagued so many other developers in recent times.

You can look for Swords and Soldiers II: Shawarmageddon to launch on November 6th for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and shortly thereafter on the Nintendo Switch. For more info feel free to visit the Steam store page.
