Whether you care about Overkill Software’s Overkill’s The Walking Dead or not doesn’t really matter, because if you’re interested in getting your hands on a free Steam code for doing nothing more than watching a livestream, well you’re in luck. You’ll be able to save yourself some coin by doing nothing more than watching a Twitch stream come November 6th, between 2:00pm and 6:00pm Pacific Standard Time, when Overkill Software will host a giveaway for the upcoming co-op shooter on Twitch.tv.
You’ll be able to tune into the livestream via the Starbreeze Twitch.tv channel, where IGN alum and Kinda Funny content creator, Greg Miller, will host the session alongside the typical “diverse” cast of streamers including Anne Munition, AngryPug, Jghosty, and Shroud.
During the livestream you’ll be able to acquire some rewards, including free Steam codes for Overkill’s The Walking Dead, merchandise codes, and more.
Technically, it’s not that bad a deal for wasting four hours of the day… that’s assuming you’re bored, you’re broke, and you need something to do and want a free game for satiating said boredom.
Throughout the broadcast survival specialist David Canterbury will be joining in on the livestream to offer gamers advice on how to actually survive a zombie apocalypse, not that it would matter anyway because the powers that be would nuke the country before any actual surviving took place.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is due out on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and it’s a typical zombie co-op survival game for up to four players. It’s a complete retread of everything Valve did with Left 4 Dead 2 nearly a decade ago. I have no idea what’s actually new in Overkill’s The Walking Dead, but there’s just one less white guy to play in the game, which I doubt will do anything for the sales.
