Square Enix’s The Quiet Man is currently available right now for the PlayStation 4 and on Steam for PC for just $14.99. During the first week of being on sale the game is discounted by 10% off, so you can get it for just $13.49.

The limited edition is also available and actually only clocks in at just $14.99, featuring seven desktop and mobile wallpapers. You’ll have up until November 15th to get your hands on it.

The game is about a deaf man named Dane with some cool fighting moves who has a thing for a songstress at a local dive named Lala. On one fateful night, Lala is kidnapped by a man in a mask and his goons, leaving Dane to have to use his wits and fighting prowess to track her down across the gritty underbelly of New York City.

Human Head Studios developed the game while Joe Kelly from Man of Action Entertainment wrote out the story. You’ve likely encountered some of Kelly’s work in kid’s shows like Ben 10 and Generator Rex, or the animated flick Big Hero 6.

You may have also noticed in the trailer above that there are plenty of live-action moments in the game. This is due to the fact that, yes, the game mixes in live-action performances with in-game cinematics and gameplay, bouncing back and forth between the two during specific moments of the story.

How well that’ll all play out remains to be seen, but the game seems to be rather popular so far. I suppose that’s because it’s not often a major publisher like Square Enix takes a risk on a budget-priced project using mixed-media entertainment as the core selling point of the game. At least Square was willing to take the risk.
