Unlucky Seven, Furry Sci-Fi Mystery-Slasher Preps For Release On Steam

Puzzling Dream’s Unlucky Seven is an upcoming point-and-click adventure game themed around a bunch of furries out in space. That degeneracy alone will probably make a few people click off in disgust, but the story premise goes a little bit deeper than that, as the developers hope to string players along for a murderous tale with a unique art-style.

The unlucky seven animals are all prisoners who were promised freedom in exchange for exploring unknown locations in an experimental vessel and logging the results. The seven ex-prisoners make a party out of their journey because they think it’s all easy sailing after getting an early release from their crimes.

However, things don’t go over too well when they start ending up getting killed, and they have to fight for survival before they all get picked off in an unceremonious fashion.

There’s a trailer for the game that give you a look at the game’s unique visual setup, but completely avoids showcasing actual gameplay. You can check it out below.

The developers described the visuals as pixel-art combined with “VHS-stylized 3D environment”. It gives the game it’s own graphical identity compared to all the other hipster games on the market.

The actual gameplay is an adventure-style game where you walk around and talk to the other players, and engage in multiple choice dialogue options, exploring the environment, and solving puzzles. According to the developer the game is designed to mimic the old-school games like LucasArts’ Grim Fandango.

It utilizes what Puzzling Dream labels as a TrueChoice System, where every choice you make will play a big role in how the game ends. And speaking of endings, there are 20 different. endings to unlock based on those choices.

Unlucky Seven has been in development for the last five years, and was originally supposed to be released back at the end of the fourth quarter of 2017. However it was delayed and is finally supposed to be releasing soon on Steam.

It’s supposed to be a furry-throwback to the sci-fi slasher films from the 1970s and 1980s. The mature-themed game is due to release soon on the Steam store.
