Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive announced that the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection is now available for the PS4 and Xbox One, along with enhancements for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, including support for output at up to 4K resolutions and frame-rate support at 60Hz.
The Hitman HD Enhanced Collection is currently available for $59.99 as a digital-only release for the home consoles.
The package contains two games in particular, Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution, both of which have been enhanced to take advantage of the PS4 and Xbox One X capabilities. This includes upgraded texture formats with enhanced anisotropic filtering, super-sampling, upscale support, and higher resolution shadow maps with full reflective mirror resolutions, improved dynamic lighting, and reduced input lag due to higher frames per second.
For console gamers who constantly moan and be-groan not being able to tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps, you’re going to be forced to see the difference with the HD collection of the two Hitman titles.

Some of the differences are quite noticeable, while others don’t look all that drastic from when the games originally came out. In fact, it seems crazy but it’s already been 13 years since the release of Hitman: Blood Money. Also given how scantily clad the women are dressed in some of the missions, it’s pretty obvious this was back during the time before Social Justice Warriors took over and forced Western developers to kowtow to their feminist ideology, preventing gamers from experiencing that level of fan-service again.
But anyway, the real change is the frame-rate, given that this is what will give you that smooth PC-like experience on home consoles.
I’m guessing Warner Bros., Interactive also needed to make back some quick bucks after Hitman 2 failed to really set the charts on fire due to a limited marketing campaign and very few changes from what was featured in the Hitman reboot from back in 2016.
