Jump Force Story Trailer Outlines More Character Creation Options, Online Play

We finally get a solid idea of what the story is for the upcoming Jump Force from Bandai Namco. The trailer covers the game’s basic avatar creation, showcasing more of the costumes and accessories on display, as well as explaining how the player-created character comes into play within the world of Jump Force.

So the gist of it is that there are different worlds housing all of the Shonen properties under the Bandai label, such as My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball, Naruto, One Piece and Bleach to name a few. Each of these worlds are known as a “Jump”. A special task force was assembled in order to fight against evil doers across all of these different dimensions, and the task force is known as the Jump Force. It’s almost identical to the time enforcers from Dragon Ball Xenoverse. Only instead of traveling through time, the task force travels through dimensions.

Various villains from different properties managed to breach the portals and begin wreaking havoc across different dimensions, which forces the Jump Force to leap into action.

While the story is basically recycled from Dragon Ball Xenoverse, the character creator is definitely a little more robust.

Instead of choosing the different species like in Dragon Ball Xenoverse, you do gain access to a lot of proportion, skin color, and feature modifications to imitate the species from the other game. For instance, you can make your character green and give them antennas on their head, which makes them look like a namek. There are also a lot more clothing items and mix-and-match options as outlined in the video above, so you shouldn’t run into any clones while playing online.

Once you get done customizing the look, you can choose from a number of different special attacks, and then head into battle.

The main villains attempt to get a hold of a special book to remake each of the worlds they journey to, which forces the various heroes from those worlds to team up and duke it out against the villains.

The game is due to drop on the PS4, PC, and Xbox One on February 15th, 2019 next month.
