It’s the dawning of a new era for PlayStation Plus subscribers, one that sees the service’s collection of monthly game giveaways drop by two-thirds. But, hey, PlayStation 4 fans are still getting Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness in the States, so it’s not all bad news.

Sony revealed last year that, as of March 2019, the PlayStation Plus subscription service would no longer include games for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Up to this point, all three of Sony’s consoles received two gratis games a month as part of the program, with March being the first time the PlayStation 4 is flying solo. We’ll dig into the finer details of how Plus will operate moving forward but, first, let’s take a look at those Plus downloads we’re still getting for the month.

First up, it’s the remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Previously only available as a special add-on with Infinite Warfare, this spruced up version of the mega-hit FPS sports new graphics and sound, tons of new map details and, on top of the full campaign, a reboot of the game’s competitive multiplayer modes. Modern Warfare has actually aged super well, so it’s worth checking out at no extra cost on top of your usual Plus subscription.

Next up is The Witness, the mind-bending puzzle adventure game from Jonathan Blow. You’re dropped onto a big island that’s home to a large number of puzzles that must be solved in order to unlock even more mysteries so, if you’re in the mood for a good brain teaser, feel free to give it a download.

And, sadly, that’s about it for Plus this month. As noted above, PS3 and Vita games are no longer part of the equation, which kinda makes sense for a decade-old home console and a portable that’s only lasted this long because of support from third-party developers. But as noted on the PlayStation Blog, any games for those consoles you previously claimed are still yours to keep so long as you are a Plus subscriber.

To help soften the blow, it looks like Sony is really pushing deep discounts on certain games for Plus subscribers. You can still get Yakuza Kiwami 2 for 40 percent off, with both Hollow Knight and Just Cause 4 marked down by half. Those deals disappear on March 5, which is presumably when new Plus specials will be revealed.

But now the question remains: Are fans OK with just two PS4 games a month, or will the loss of PS3 and Vita support stir up some ill will?
