At PAX East in Boston, Massachusetts, Warhorse Studios gave gamers a look at the final DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance called A Woman’s Lot. The DLC allows players to take on the role of Theresa in one segment, and we finally get to see how that plays out thanks to the developers giving gamers a firsthand look at the upcoming DLC.
YouTuber Iron Lords Podcast posted up an interview and preview session they capture from the Warhorse Studios booth at PAX East this spring. You can check out the near eight minute video below.
It’s explained by Warhorse’s media manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, that the DLC features three parts, one of which allows you to play as Theresa, who will have her own inventory space and clothing attire. She will only be able to wear women’s clothes, so don’t expect any of that non-binary stuff to apply here. The men have their clothes, and the women have their clothes.
Theresa will have her own RPG skills that you can level up, along with an NPC companion that can also have his skills leveled up. According to Tobi, Theresa’s dog, Tinker, will be able to follow her around and utilize certain skills to help players out.
During the first part of the DLC, players will control Theresa and play through the early segments of Kingdom Come: Deliverance during the opening sequence where the town was being attacked. Theresa’s gameplay is a little bit different insofar that she’ll have to try to help the injured people around the town, and provide them with aid.
Theresa can fight, but her skills are rather poor since she’s not a fighter. It’s advised you use stealth instead of trying to fight enemies head-on. However, if you want to try your luck at battling the baddies in sword combat, you can.
Tobi also explains that Henry will still be playable in the DLC, and that he will partake in a Joan of Arc style epic quest. I’m not entirely sure what that’s all about but it’s supposed to be fairly large scale.
Furthermore, Henry will have his own pet companion, just like Theresa. Tobi didn’t give much of anything away regarding Henry’s dog, but the dog will be able to acquire skills and help fetch items and also aid Henry during combat by attacking other enemies if the dog’s obedience level is high enough.
As for where the story fits in the timeline, you will be able to play through the DLC at any point after the beginning segment. However, if you start a new game and play through the segment leading up to when Henry meets Theresa after the attack on the town, when he asks her what happened the DLC will kick in and you’ll be able to play through that portion of the game as Theresa.
You can look for Kingdom Come: Deliverance – A Woman’s Lot to drop in May next month for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
