I’m not sure if you will need a phone to play this upcoming iteration of Diablo, because who doesn’t have phones, right? All jokes aside, Blizzard is reportedly looking for heads to fill new job positions that relate to a forthcoming Diablo “project” that will more than likely show up at this year’s Blizzcon.
Not much information surrounds Diablo as a whole as of recent, which means that there isn’t any official word on this new game or “project” as it is referred to by Blizzard. However, job listings look to turn that all around in this case where publication site gamingbolt.com covers the new listings.
The website reports that on Blizzard’s career page, they have positions for a Lead Concept Artist and a Lead Character Artist. Both roles clearly relay that the company is working on a new, unannounced Diablo title. Anyway, here’s the excerpt from the two art-related job pages talking about the new project:
“We’re working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. If you’re a skilled Lead Concept Artist [or Lead Character Artist], then come work with us and together we will build something extraordinary.”
In case you don’t know, BlizzCon 2019 will run from November 1st to November 2nd, 2019. Tickets are already up since May 4th (of this year) where further details on the event can be found over on blizzcon.com.
I’m sure the game will be teased before the expo or even revealed at the event. Although it’s worth mentioning, will the company screw up again and pull another Diablo Immortals or will Blizzard recover? Well, we’ll find out later this year.
Lastly, the publication site concludes the piece by noting that Blizzard is looking into more games set in its successful IPs and links to the two job listings (Lead Concept Artist, Lead Character Artist) for those that wish to check out said positions.
