After launching on Steam for PC, Bus Simulator is now scheduled to make its debut on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The developers out of Moenchengladbach, Germany announced that you’ll be able to partake in the bus-driving experience starting September 17th, 2019 for Microsoft and Sony’s home consoles.
Bus Simulator originally came out for Steam back in June, featuring an Unreal Engine 4 modding kit, allowing gamers to create their own missions, bus skins, and more.
You won’t have access to the mods in the home console version, but you will have access to the full simulation campaign, where you’ll venture across the fictional European city of Seaside Valley, as well as compete with other players in the online multiplayer mode.
Bus Simulator features officially licensed buses from actual bus companies, and your job will be to start off small running people around the Seaside Valley town, building up your credit and reputation so that you can expand your very own bus company.
Your objective will be to purchase additional buses, create more bus depots, and journey further around the district to meet the growing needs of the people. You’ll have to deal with maintenance, time, and costs as you juggle the expansion of the business versus driving around town to keep the people happy while avoiding accidents, managing train crossings, and driving through hazardous weather.
Bus Simulator on PS4 and Xbox One will be available as a digital download for $39.99 from the Microsoft Store and the PlayStation Store. You can learn more about the game by visiting the official Bus Simulator website.
I would still suggest that if you were to get any version of the game, stick with the PC version since you have access to mods and cheats. However, if you’re desperate to drive real life buses in virtual seaside towns, and you don’t have a PC up to snuff, there’s always the console option come September 17th.
