Re:Legend, Fantasy Slice-Of-Life Multiplayer Sim Preps To Enter Early Access August 30th

Magnus Game Studio and 505 Games announced that Re:Legend, the Kickstarted fantasy-themed slice-of-life RPG, will enter into Early Access over on the Steam store starting August 30th.

The upcoming game combines a lot of the different elements from previous emergent life-sims with a fresh coat of aesthetics that look like they were peeled off the back of Dragon Quest Builders and placed into a Harvest Moon game.

You’ll take on the role of an adventurer who washes ashore the Vokka Island with no memory of your past or who you were. You attempt to start a new life in the Vokka Village while making friends, carrying out quests, building a farm, and maybe even finding a little romance along the way.

Much like Animal Crossing, you’ll be able to interact with the people around the village and take on their requests as well as follow the main story thread to recover your lost memories. You can get an idea of what the game is like with the Early Access trailer below.

The trailer covers some of the simulation and RPG mechanics in the game, such as going fishing to acquire food to keep your strength up or make a few bucks selling rare catches. Alternatively you can use the fish in underwater races. There’s also the farming meta game, where you’ll need to plant and grow crops, which can also be used to help make a few extra coins on the side.

If you’re into crafting and blacksmithing there’s a mini-game that allows you to build tools, make items, and craft weapons.

You can use the weapons to fight monsters, acquire items, and defeat bosses located around the village.
As you complete quests and help out the village you’ll also be able to upgrade the village with better buildings and locations.

ReLegend - Multiplayer

It reminds me essentially of a 3D version of Stardew Valley, but with the multiplayer features being available right out of the gate. You and three other friends can fight, adventure, and craft together as you explore the island paradise, along with both its pleasures and perils.

The Early Access phase is set to get underway on August 30th and it’s expected to stay in Early Access between nine and 12 months. So it won’t be graduating from Early Access until sometime next year.
