2K Games Further Intimidates Supmatto Over Borderlands 3 Leaks

Take-Two Interactive and 2K Games provided statements to IGN addressing the Borderlands 3 leaks that were circulating the net and were reported on by content creator Supmatto.

In a statement issued to IGN, a 2K Games representative stated…

“Take Two and 2K take the security and confidentiality of trade secrets very seriously. The action we’ve taken is the result of a 10-month investigation and a history of this creator profiting from breaking our policies, leaking confidential information about our product, and infringing our copyright,”

This was widely lambasted by YouTubers such as TheQuartering, who took Take-Two and 2K Games to task for dragging Supmatto through the mud over information he and others gleaned from public streams held by Gearbox.

The video covers how multiple DMCA claims were filed against Supmatto and his content over his Borderlands 3 videos.

For now, Supmatto’s YouTube channel is still up, but it could be terminated any day. He openly stated that he was taking a break from YouTube following 2K Games sending private investigators to his house.

This was recounted by YouTuber Upper Echelon Gamers.

As noted in Upper Echelon Gamers’ video, there are some near libelous statements made against Supmattio by IGN and 2K, attempting to brandish his content and account as selling information for membership fees.

This is all came to a head after #BoycottBorderlands started trending when the initial reports came out about what happened to Supmatto’s channel.
