Metro: Exodus was a game that many people were looking forward to on launch day across PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. However, two weeks before the FPS game’s Steam launch, Metro: Exodus became an Epic Games Store timed-exclusive. Despite all the controversy, it looks like 4A Games will continue to make Metro installments in the series.
Back in May of this year, we reported that Lars Wingefors — founder and CEO of THQ Nordic — spoke on the success of Metro: Exodus on consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) but declined to elaborate on PC sales via the company’s Q5 2019 report.
In addition to the above, this goes to show that Epic Games Store poach money helps out drastically insofar that a new Metro game is already in the works — even with the last title having undisclosed PC sales.
Moreover, much like in May of this year, Twitter user Nathan has come forth to reveal that not only is a new Saints Row game well in development, the now controversial Metro series will see a new implementation too:
Volition’s new Saints Row game is “well into development” and 4A Games is indeed working on the next Metro game, Wingefors said during the investor presentation.

I’m sure the next Metro will find its way back on the Epic Games Store and if it does expect the same backlash that Metro: Exodus received except minus the scummy two-week storefront switch.
It’s also worth mentioning that Dmitry Glukhovsky is helping out on this new entry. In a post on Facebook, he noted the following information:
“The Metro gaming series will be continued. Working on the story.”
So there you have it, Deep Silver, 4A Games, and Glukhovsky are working on a new Metro game while a new Saints Row is in the works.
