Once advertised on Steam and now an Epic Games Store timed exclusive, House House has settled for Tim “the big boy” Sweeney’s Fortnite bucks in an exchange for Untitled Goose Game to stay away from Steam for an entire year. The goose simulator has a release date of September 20th as announced via a new gameplay trailer.
A while back, we covered a list of animal games that were set to come out for PC and home consoles, and Untitled Goose Game was one of the many creature games on the list.
Well, if you are looking to jump in and play as a nice or mischievous goose in a quaint town, then you can do so on PC via the Epic Games Store and Nintendo Switch.
The newly posted trailer revealing the timed switch from Steam to the Epic Games Store sits below:
“Untitled Goose Game is a slapstick-stealth-sandbox, where you are a goose let loose on an unsuspecting village. Make your way around town, from back gardens to the high street shops to the village green, setting up pranks, stealing hats, honking a lot, and generally ruining everyone’s day.”
To hammer home that the goose has waddled over to Tim’s big store, the devs took to Twitter to make the following announcement. Falling in line with the aforesaid information, folks who wish to play the game on Steam must wait an entire year:
The details:
• It’ll be playable in eleven (!!) languages.
• It’ll be available on Nintendo Switch via the Nintendo eShop, and PC + Mac via the Epic Game Store.
• It’ll be $19.99 USD — with a special limited-time launch sale price of $14.99.— House House (@house_house_) August 30, 2019
Moreover, the game will hit the digital scene late next month on September 20th. At this point, it’s unclear whether this sim will gain a physical version or not, but it looks all digital right now.
Finally, if you want to goose around look for Q3 to be your ticket to do so either on Nintendo’s nifty device or on the Epic Games Store.
