Atomic Heart Cinematic Trailer Gives A Brief Look Inside Vavilov’s Laboratory

The Unreal Engine 4-powered first-person shooter from Mundfish called Atomic Heart is counting down the days until it officially launches for home consoles and PC. To help maintain the hype for the Russian-made shooter, Mundfish released a new cinematic trailer featuring the Vavilov Laboratory.

The cinematic is running in real-time within the Unreal Engine 4. It features two characters talking about sleep deprivation, mental prowess, and some other pretentious topics discussed out of congruity with the rest of the plot.

In any case, the trailer is mostly about showcasing what the developers achieved in real-time, in-engine.

You can check it out below.

If you’re unable to understand what they’re saying, simply turn on the captions to match your native language.

Alternatively, there’s a trailer that’s uploaded in English to the IGN YouTube channel, but it actually sounds worse with the English dub from the Russian voice actors. The Russian language sounds a lot more… natural.

You can check out the English trailer below.

The trailer doesn’t offer much to sink your teeth into, but it’s more than just another developer diary or screenshot.

The last update we received about the game came from Richard “Levelord” Gray, who talked about his involvement with the development of Atomic Heart back in mid-August.

Before that there was the 10-minute gameplay demo that offered a look at the actual in-game play. In case you missed it before you can check it out below.

There were some reports before that hinted at development being troubled on Atomic Heart, but it appears as if it’s coming along rather well based on the most recent cinematic trailer.

An official release date still hasn’t been set yet, but it’s currently scheduled to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and on Steam for PC during the fourth quarter of 2019. You can pre-order the game or learn more about it by visiting the official Atomic Heart website.
