Bad Boys For Life Trailer Features Plenty Of Bullets And Explosions

The third and presumably final entry in the Bad Boys action movie trilogy has received the long awaited trailer ahead of the January 17th, 2020 theatrical release of a sequel that’s been 15 years in the making. Well, technically it’s been more like 15 years of procrastination and Martin Lawrence’s career going down the tube, but who’s counting?

The trailer for Bad Boys For Life doesn’t really explain anything. We get some action sequences, some car chases, a few explosions, and comedic quips, but we have no idea what Martin and Will Smith are doing or why… just that there are bad guys afoot and an opulence of shell casings waiting to litter the floor.

You can check out the trailer below.

It’s kind of a shame that they weren’t making four movies, because the third film could have been called Bad Boys Forever and then the fourth film’s nomenclature could have been Bad Boys 4 Life.

Anyway, the only thing we see in the trailer is a collection of action sequences involving Martin and Will in a motorcycle firing a mini-gun, a sequence where Will Smith gets blown off a motorcycle and slides onto a flatbed before running and jumping to grab hold of a ladder on a helicopter, and what looks like a pretty impressive shootout in a chateau of sorts.

Again, we have no idea who the main bad guy is or what’s the cause of all the munitions-based mayhem that occurs throughout the trailer, but it looks like it’s going to be action-packed from start to finish… presumably.

The downside is that Michael Bay isn’t back to direct, so if they have diversity hires on board you can kiss the quality of the action goodbye.

It’s tough to gauge what the actual film might be like based on the teaser trailer for now, but hopefully it’s not one of those franchises that fizzles out with a whimper instead of a bang. I suppose we’ll find out when January, 2020 rolls around.
