If this teaser trailer is anything to go by, don’t hold your breath on Project Resistance being something noteworthy. Yes, Capcom has released the official teaser trailer for Project Resistance, an upcoming multiplayer-horror title to appear at Tokyo Game Show 2019.
What I’m about to say should be taken with a grain of salt in that Project Resistance looks like one of two things: The first being a four-player-centric game like Left 4 Dead, where it’s all about room clearing. Or it’s one player trying to stop four other people from clearing each zombie-filled room.
As of now, we know Project Resistance is officially a multiplayer-based game thanks to the following description:
“A brand-new team-based survival horror experience is coming.”
The horror part is a no brainer, but according to the new trailer — that has been leaked via screenshots not too long ago — see four people trapped in a room fighting various zombies using handguns, shotguns, a barbed-wire bat, and a long pipe. The four people consist of an Aya Brea look-alike, Velma Dinkley, Tye Sheridan, and SonicFox.
The above trailer comes from Resident Evil’s official YouTube channel, which will more than likely feature more Project Resistance content. This will inevitably happen at TGS 2019, a place where Capcom will use to unveil and promote Project Resistance.
As per usual, the horror game in question will debut on PC via Steam, PS4, and Xbox One. The true question that remains unanswered is, will this game end up on the Epic Games Store?
Anyway, despite nobody asking for yet another unwanted game set in the Resident Evil universe, much like Resident Evil: Umbrella Corps, here we are with what looks to be a title riding the Dead by Daylight or asymmetric survival horror train. But with that said, what do you think of this Project Resistance teaser trailer?
