We’ve been receiving tidbits of news and trailers for Arc System Works’ newest Guilty Gear entry, but all we’ve been calling it is the New Guilty Gear. Well, with the newest trailer emerging over the weekend e-sports event ARCREVO America 2019 revealed the official name of the Unreal Engine-powered fighting, Guilty Gear -Strive-.
The new trailer covers the characters that Arc System Works have revealed already, along with a character that they haven’t revealed before… Faust. You can check out the trailer below from ARCREVO America 2019.
We don’t get to see Faust pull out any moves, but we do get a hint at what he’ll look like with his emaciated frame, a bloody shirt, and medical gloves. Of course, he sports his patented bag-over-the-head and rounds out his tease with a glowing red wink.
I wonder if his kancho attack will also make an appearance in this iteration of the game?
We won’t see the full reveal for Faust until the January 17th, 2020 event, Frosty Faustings, which will be held in Wheeling, Illinois.
As for the rest of the trailer, the cast of characters look good so far and it appears as if there’s a lot of love and care put into the dynamic special moves and animations.
If you’re planning on attending EVO Japan between January 24th and January 26th in 2020, you’ll be able to get your hands on the playable demo featuring six of the revealed characters so far.
