The Outer Worlds featured its noticeable amount of social justice, and the trailer for Grounded is not in short supply of said agitprop. Yes, Obsidian Entertainment and Microsoft are to bring gamers a new woke game that is as brown as the microscopic dirt in Grounded to PC and Xbox One goers sometime in 2020.
During a time when a lost generation is trying to act profound, you best believe that the foolish laws of the gullible are going to be front and center across anything. And seeing that The Outer Worlds is unabashed of its propaganda, Obsidian is making sure that people know that they’re woke with Grounded.
Any gimmick that you can think of (sans zombies) that every corporate CEO and higher up masturbates to — which consists of building, crafting, and the usual Steam Early Access tired tropes — is in this game, which makes Grounded more of an eyesore.
Luckily, I wasn’t the only one to catch that this woke game is a mess given that during X019, the chat called the game out on this disgusting trend as well as the dislike bar burying the like meter.
Anyway, you can check out the latest trailer for grounded right here courtesy of Xbox:
“Obsidian Entertainment announces Grounded, their new survival game with a small twist. Go big or never go home in Spring 2020. An Xbox Game Preview title built with community feedback and premiering on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.”
For those arguing that this is another branch of Obsidian doing this game, it still doesn’t disregard the woke diversity pushed throughout the trailer. And given the culture of devs these days, don’t be shocked if some spokesperson comes forth spewing nonsense similar to PUBG’s Brendan Greene.
One would think Obsidian would be more cautious about going woke given that Pillars of Eternity 2 got woke and went broke, costing them any potential future of making Pillars of Eternity 3, but I guess once the infection sets in then that’s all that really matters.
Anywho, the first-person, co-op survival game for Xbox One and PC is set to launch in spring 2020 through Xbox Game Preview, the Windows Store, and Steam.
