The rumors and leaks were like a boat with holes in it, you can see the two games coming a mile away, and now they are officially here. Yes, Sega and Platinum Games’ stylized action-shooters — best known as Bayonetta and Vanquish — 10th-anniversary bundle have a trailer and will hit PS4 and Xbox One on February 18th, 2020.
The two games set for a 2020 release are going to be available for $39.99 and will run at 4K and 60fps, according to the official memo. Also, folks who aren’t into the digital scene can opt for a physical copy of Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle, which includes a SteelBook, and new cover art for both games.
If you’re not into steel cases, resolution or frames per second and wish to know what the two games are about, Bayonetta thrusts you into the action-adventure genre as the tantalizing Umbra Witch. Rise from the depths after half a millennium in slumber with no recollection of the past and plunge into battle to uncover the truth.
As for Vanquish, the sci-fi shooter story revolves around Earth seeking help from Providence, when it’s suddenly taken over by a “mutinous group” looking to devastate cities abroad. It’s up to the player to assume the role of specially trained space marine Sam Gideon to infiltrate Providence, defeat legions of foes, and disable the energy transmitter threatening life on Earth.
