Doom: Eternal Second Trailer Drops, While id Software Boasts The Game Is Their Best Work Ever

It seems as if id Software is more than confident when it comes to Doom: Eternal as a product. Around the time Bethesda Softworks released the second trailer for the upcoming first-person shooter, an id Software employee claims that Doom: Eternal is the best game the team has ever made.

Doom: Eternal has a new trailer out for the public to look over that sees the Doom Slayer ready to “Raze Hell” when March 20th, 2020, rolls around.

Despite the army of hell invading Earth, the new trailer shows familiar and new demons that the Slayer must take down across multiple dimensions to stop the final destruction of humanity.

If all of that sounds interesting to you, the second official trailer by Bethesda Softworks and id Software is up for your viewing pleasure:

Proud of the trailer, id Software’s lead engine programmer, Billy Khan, took to Twitter to speak on his team’s behalf to say that the upcoming FPS game is id Software’s best game ever.

Boasting about the optimization and gameplay and how idTech7 allows the team to churn out the very thing that is Doom: Eternal has Mr. Khan excited for gamers and fans to try:

Although those are big words, we’ll see how the game pans out at launch.

In the meantime, we do know that Hugo Martin sees Doom: Eternal as a “thinking man’s game” and a “power fantasy.” I’m not sure how those two things will translate in the final product, but if you want a glimpse of the forthcoming game’s future, now you know two things about it.

With all of that said, Doom: Eternal will hit PC via Steam and other platforms such as PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia on March 20th, 2020.
