Kool2Play is looking to release Uragun, a mecha shooter, across PC and home consoles. However, the top-down shooter is coming to Steam first and will launch somewhere between Q2 and Q3 2020.
If you’re a fan of mecha games and want to play a top-down shooter, there’s good news for you in that Kool2Play is gearing up to release Uragun mid this year after a delay in late January.
Speaking of the Uragun’s delay, the game will hit Steam Early Access and will offer folks a campaign and sandbox mode at launch. Additionally, there will be expanded chapters of narrative, dialogue with voiceover, and an experimental co-op mode, along with other features.
Furthermore, the game itself explores a mecha pilot outsmarting a hostile swarm of AI-controlled machines that have full control over major cities around the world.
If you don’t mind eliminating an onslaught of “super-smart AI bots” swarming the streets of Barcelona, New York, and Warsaw, then get ready to suit up:
“Uragun is a hardcore top-down shooter with a pinch of tactical combat. The player must outsmart and outshoot hostile swarms of AI-controlled machines. The levels’ designs reflect the layouts of various real-life major cities from across the world. The game allows players to take control of a heavily armed mech suit tasked with eliminating waves upon waves of super smart AI bots swarming the streets of Barcelona, New York, Warsaw and more
The game will first be made available on Steam Early Access by early 2020 with console versions to follow.”

If you want to see more gameplay, Kool2Play recently released the following video showing in-game work in progress (WIP) footage. You’ll likely notice bad frame rate and other uncanny things, but this WIP video does not represent the final product:

More WIP videos like the above are said to come out in the future, where at least one summary video will drop each month.
