Phantasy Star Online 2 Xbox One Open Beta For North America Starts On March 17th, 2020

If you don’t want to wait for the PC version and wish to play the North American console version of Phantasy Star Online 2, then the Xbox Team has you covered. The open beta for PSO2 will go live on March 17th, 2020.

As the name suggests, the open beta will, hopefully, allow Xbox One players to jump in and play the game for free. Instead of signing up or doing anything special, all you have to do is go to the Microsoft or Xbox store and search for the open beta.

The official tweet offers even some details on the open beta in that it will start on March 17th at 5:00 P.M. PT / 8:00 P.M. ET, and will boast translated text and voices in English.

If that sounds like fun, gamers that live in North America can gain access to the open beta test by downloading the game when it goes live next week.

Furthermore, folks living in North America and happen to be an Xbox Insider and own PSO2‘s closed beta will be able to update the existing client for the upcoming open beta on said date.

I should also note that all progress kept during the closed beta will stay active in the open beta.

Aside from all of that stuff, you can learn more about what’s to come during the mid-part of March:

In other words, keep a close eye on pso2.com for more details.

As noted above, the Xbox One open beta will drop on March 17th, 2020, in North America. The full version has no release date as of this writing.
