Raw Fury announced that Fury Studios, Coatsink, and Stumpy Squid’s Kingdom Two Crowns has received a brand new update called Dead Lands for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC. The update features four new monarchs you can play along with a new option to change mounts. The theme of the update is based on a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night motif, complete with Gothic settings and four playable characters from ArtPlay’s spiritual successor to Castlevania.

The update is free for everyone who owns the game.

It allows you to take on the playable roles of Shardbinder Miriam, Zangetsu, Gebel, and the alchemist Alfred.

New mounts have also been added to the game, which you can see in action with the trailer below.

The original game came out way back in 2015, and slowly over time they expanded with new content, achievements, and features.

The update is for the 2018 outing of Kingdom Two Crowns, which his the third entry in the series.

With the Kingdom Two Crowns: Dead Lands update, you’ll travel around, attempting to expand your kingdom, its influence, and battle enemies atop your trusty stead.

You’ll also be able to play the game in co-op mode with a buddy, as you chop slice, and lay down traps to stop enemies from encroaching on your lands.

It seems like a weird collaboration between 505 Games and Raw Fury for a Bloodstained crossover, but I imagine ArtPlay is likely trying to raise the property profile of the series, and crossovers is a great way to do that. Alternatively, maybe Raw Fury and the devs were just really in love with ArtPlay’s Castlevania successor?

I’m not sure. Anyway you can purchase the digital version of the game from the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Nintendo eShop, GOG.com or over on the Steam store for PC. The DLC update may be free but the base game isn’t. However, in celebration of the new content, the base version of Kingdom Two Crowns is discounted by 35% off the normal price for a limited time, so work fast if you were planning on purchasing a copy of the game.
