Ziggurat Interactive has been on a tear recently when it comes to reviving old classics and bringing them to current day digital distribution services. They recently brought back some 3DO classics to GOG.com, and now they recently announced that several classic DOS games will be made available on Steam this June, including the Krush Kill ‘N Destroy series.
In an e-mail notice, Ziggurat informed their loyal followers that World Championship Boxing Manager and Murders In Space are currently available right now on the Steam store, with a 33% off discount during the launch week.
Later into the newsletter they reveal that Krush Kill ‘N Destroy Xtreme along with Krush Kill ‘N Destroy 2: Krossfire would both make their way to Valve’s digital distribution platform this summer.
If you don’t remember what the action-packed, real-time strategy games were like, there’s a 4K rendition of KKND that you can check out in the video below, courtesy of SergiuHellDragoonHQ.
I was never into the Krush Kill ‘N Destroy games. At the time they were coming out when the first GTA was taking gaming by storm on PC, and other more well-known RTS titles were all the rage, such as Warcraft and Total Annihilation.
One of my personal favorites was WarBreeds, even though it was kind of short.
But for everyone who managed to miss out on the classic KKND games, you’ll be able to experience them with the convenience of Steam come June.
A big appeal for the game was its Mad Max-style aesthetic in a post-apocalyptic war front, while maintaining a small fighting force of units looking to take control of the planet’s last remaining resources.
You’ll need to keep an eye on Ziggurat’s social media accounts to find out when the game will launch in June.
