Memoirs Of A Battle Brothel, Cyberpunk H-RPG Heads Back To Kickstarter

Back in late 2019, the Western-based outfit A Memory of Eternity attempted to crowdfund their racy H-RPG, Memoirs of a Battle Brothel. Unfortunately the game did not receive enough attention as it deserved and the Kickstarter campaign failed. The developers didn’t give up, though. They decided to try again with a second run on Kickstarter.

The the new campaign is currently live over on the Kickstarter page right now.

The pitch video portrays the game in a pretty cool perspective, somewhat fashioned after Acquire’s Octopath Traveler by utilizing 16-bit textures on 3D meshes.

This absolutely does help Memoirs of a Battle Brothel stand out from a visual perspective, as you can see in the video below.

The dark retrowave music accompanying the on-screen action really helps sell the narrative and atmosphere of the game.

So what is the game about? Well, you end up a crime-ridden city and become a facilitator of a brothel… but not just any brothel, a battle brothel.

You’ll have to take into consideration the desires and requests of clients, while also upgrading and improving the abilities of your workers.

There’s also a dating sim component to the game as you meet new companions, increase your relationship status with them and even become lovers.

But there’s even more to it than that. As the seedy machinations of the city threaten your empire, you may have to betray some of your most loyal companions, and so you’ll have some hefty choices on your platter as you sift through a smorgasbord of corruption.

Much like Studio FOW’s Subverse, the game features turn-based combat like a traditional SRPG, where you’ll need to position your companions in the right way and make strategic use of environmental obstructions to tactically overcome your opponents.

You can download a free demo right now to check the game out for yourself over on the itch.io page.

If all goes as planned they expect Memoirs of a Battle Brothel to release in November later this year. If you would like to learn more or contribute to the cause, you can do so by visiting the official Kickstarter page.
