Tour de France 2020 Gameplay Trailer Previews Time Trial Challenge

Nacon and Cyanide Studios released the first gameplay trailer for Tour de France 2020, which is scheduled to release on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Steam for PC this summer.

The new gameplay trailer offers a minute’s worth of real-time footage taking place in the game, as you can see how you can utilize some of the rider strategies and tactics you’ll need to employ in order to get through the easy sections of a leg, as well as tough it through the inclines and hills. The trailer also covers how to manage your rider’s positioning to maximize the most proficient use of their abilities.

You can check out the trailer below.

The trailer in particular covers the time trial, where you’ll need to complete specific legs of the race within a certain amount of time by hitting the checkpoints.

While this seems easy, you’ll need to manage your rider’s stamina and conserve enough of their energy to get through the more difficult segments of the section while still making time.

You can modify how your rider’s arms are positioned for reducing air resistance or improving aerodynamics, as well as changing stances that changes how much control you have on the bike versus how much speed you can maintain.

Cyanide also added a number of new features to the game, including the 266km hill-climb at Liège-Bastogne-Liège, an all new UI overhaul, and a more realistic AI setup that will supposedly be more aggressive.

The game will release on June 4th on PS4 and Xbox One, while the PC release of Tour de France 2020 will be available at the end of the summer. The actual Tour de France event has also been delayed to the end of the summer due to the coronavirus, so some of you will only be able to experience the annual event this year via home console until further notice.
