343 Industries Teases The Banished Making A Return In Halo: Infinite

Although there are many rumors and leaks circulating around the net that could be a potential hint at Halo: Infinite‘s story, there seems to be a new video by 343 Industries that confirms a leak regarding The Banished making a return in the next installment in the Halo series of games.

Microsoft and 343 Industries — both of whom are on the Traitors of America master list — are gearing up to show off Halo: Infinite gameplay footage in a new trailer sometime this July. No given date has been issued out by the publisher or developer, but gamingbolt.com expands on Halo: Infinite’s July gameplay reveal and sourced the following information from Matt Booty during an older Inside Xbox episode:

“In the early minutes of the show, head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty came on-screen to re-iterate that Microsoft has another event planned for July that will be focusing almost entirely on games in development at its various first party studios. […] He did mention one game in particular that will be at the show — Halo Infinite. So two years on from its announcement, we will finally get our first real look at its gameplay a couple months from now.”

In the meantime, the devs working on Halo: Infinite took to the official Halo YouTube channel to post the following video that features a familiar faction looking to make a destructive appearance:

If you don’t know, the above video confirms an early leak that surfaced back in April that we covered. The leak comes from website gamerant.com, which showcases leaked photos of Halo: Infinite Brute toys from Mega Construx, and how they reveal the return of Halo Wars 2’s Banished Brute Warrior and a new weapon.

Finally, Halo: Infinite is still slated to arrive later this year, given that Microsoft has verified on multiple occasions that the next-gen game remains “on schedule to launch in Holiday 2020” for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
