CrossCode Heads To PS4, Nintendo Switch July 9th, 2020

ININ Games, Deck13 and Radical Fish Games announced that the popular JRPG CrossCode is prepping to release on the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 starting July 9th with digital versions being available on the PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop. The physical versions of the game are also scheduled to make an appearance later this year starting August 28th, courtesy of Strictly Limited Games.

Now keep in mind that both the American branches of Nintendo and PlayStation have been added to the ever-growing Traitors of America master list. So if you don’t own either system, you can safely still support America by importing a Switch from the United Kingdom or from Japan, and you don’t have to worry about supporting the deconstruction of Western values. However, there is no hope for PlayStation gamers… all branches of Sony are converged. Sorry, that’s just how the dice fell.

As for CrossCode, the game originally released on PC and managed to sell over 400,000 copies.

As you can see, the game takes a lot of inspiration from classic 16-bit RPGs from the SNES era, allowing gamers to partake in real-time combat similar to Secret of Mana, but with puzzle-solving and adventuring typically found in Legend of Zelda games.

You’ll encounter more than 120 different enemies, fight over 30 different bosses, explore seven different biomes spread across 100 quests, and acquire and master more than 90 different combat arts.

Pre-orders for the collector’s edition have already opened up over on Strictly Limited Games, which you can check out right now.

The digital version of the game will be available next month, and the physical version of the game will be available in August. None of the companies involved with the game or the limited collector’s edition are on the Traitors of America list, so that’s certainly something you should keep in mind.

The game is also currently available right now over on the Steam store for $19.99. If you’re unsure of the game, you can check out a free demo as well.
