Danmachi Season 3 Delayed To October, 2020 Due To Coronavirus

The coronavirus has been hitting all manner of anime with serious delays, from the comedies to the action genre, and from romance to the dramas, along with everything else in between, such as the third season anime adaptation of Fujino Omori’s Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?, also known as Danmachi for short.

Anime Intelligence & Research informed fans about the delay with a tweet on May 29th, 2020. You can check it out below.

They picked up the news from the official Danmachi Twitter account, which confirmed that the show’s third season was originally supposed to start it’s air date in July, but it was pushed all the way back to the fall.

The tweet links over to the official website, which very much says the exact same thing as the tweet, only it’s filled with apologies and ends by stating that as soon as they’ve decided the official start date in October, they will inform fans both via social media and through the official website.

A lot of the troubles from the coronavirus came from its impact on China, where various kinds of third-party production work was being handled. But due to the lockdown various anime were thrown into disarray and had to find alternative ways to round out production.

In this case, the delay actually isn’t that bad, and you’ll simply have to wait from summer to fall to get finally catch up on the latest antics in Danmachi, but otherwise the only thing you need to look out for is the official start date, which will arrive from the official social media accounts for the anime.
