Resident Evil Ambassador Twitter Account Teases Something To Happen Around June 10th, 2020

A report that has gone under the radar late last month has garnered some attention as of recent in that we are nearing June 10th. If you don’t know, the official Resident Evil Ambassodar account tweeted out on May 22nd, 2020, that something special will happen around said date. Keep in mind, however, that Capcom USA is on the Traitors of America Master List, so you’ll have to exercise caution with anything related to the company.

Although the June 10th date could be a big misunderstanding due to the wording of the official Resident Evil Ambassador Twitter account, there also stands to be some connections to a previous Resident Evil Ambassador post about an “unannounced title” that went up in late 2019.

Before digging deeper into the 2019 post related to an unannounced title, website biohazardcast.com posted the following May 2020 tweet that makes mention of something going down around June 10th:

The website believes that Gold Ambassador accounts will be upgraded to Platinum status next week. The reason the publication site believes this is due to the above tweet’s wording and how it “matches up” with the following image linked to the Ambassador Program:

Aside from that theory, the reason that this new announcement set around June 10th might be related to a new game by Capcom is due to the wording of the 2019 post. You can read Capcom’s much older write-up here, which notes that higher-ranking members, as well as Platinum goers, will be invited to playtest an unannounced title:

“Hello, Resident Evil Ambassadors! It’s Tsuyoshi Otani, the producer in charge of the Resident Evil Ambassador Program.

Although Resident Evil 2 didn’t win an award at last week’s The Game Awards 2019, I’m very happy that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice won both the Best Action/Adventure Game and the Game of the Year awards! We hope to win an award with Resident Evil 3 next year!

We are almost ready to roll out a new program for Ambassadors. Please see the details below.

We are introducing a new ranking system to the Ambassador Program. There are four ranks: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. We also renewed the Ambassador Cards with four different types. Pick the card that suits your style!

Also, as limited offers to Ambassadors, we have invitations to a play test session of our unannounced title*, and priority seats at our game show booth**.

Higher-ranked Ambassadors have a greater chance to be selected for these offers, so aim for Platinum rank for the best chance to win! So, how can you improve your rank? Well, that’s easy! Ranks can be gained by participating in Ambassador activities!

* You need to apply for the play test to be eligible for selection.

** Game show locations / dates are not confirmed.”

Lastly, some people believe that the announcement around June 10th is related to the rumored Resident Evil 8 game, while others think it’s related to the Platinum announcement. With that said, what do you think this “unannounced” June 10th thing is?
