The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters Launches June 19th On Nintendo Switch, PS4

Nintendo of America and basically every branch of Sony have made it onto the Traitors of America master list. If you haven’t purchased either home console yet, the only safe bet is to import your Nintendo Switch from Japan or just not buy any version of the PlayStation… if you value the integrity of your patriotism as an American. That being said, indie developer Devespresso Games announced that their side-scrolling horror title, The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters, will be launching on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch beginning June 19th.

The game originally came out back at the end of January when it graduated from Steam Early Access. It eventually went on to capture a dedicated audience of gamers who were looking for something unique in the survival-horror space; something that wasn’t just another Resident Evil clone or rehash of Outlast.

In The Coma 2 you play as a young schoolgirl who must traverse through the streets of Korea while interacting with NPCs and avoiding certain death.

Much like other survival-horror titles out there, you’ll have to gather supplies and crafting materials to keep the main heroine, Mina, alive while she attempts to escape from the haunted Sehwa district in South Korea.

One of the neat aspects of the game is that Mina can incur permanent damage, and so you have to be careful when it comes to engaging with enemies and minimizing the amount of damage you take.

The art-style definitely stands out, and the themes remind me of some sort of eldritch abomination meets Silent Hill mash-up with a Korean comic book art-style.

If you’re into disturbing horror games and you want a side-scrolling survival-horror title to boot, you can check out The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters when it arrives on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 on June 19th. Alternatively you can pick up a digital copy from over on the Steam store for just $14.99.
