Although Devolver Digital tries to be insincerely edgy and is also on the Traitors of America list, the publisher recently released a new video for Flying Wildhog’s Shadow Warrior 3 showing off 17 minutes of extended gameplay footage.
If Ghost of Tsushima is getting social justice warriors’ panties all twisted up around the web, then there’s no doubt that the long and hard way of Wang will have them screeching even louder — especially if they keep the nuke kill reference of Hiroshima.
The video in question depicts Wang and Zilla discussing how they will defeat a dragon and use the mask to banish the evil spirits and dragon away for good. However, Zilla is sucked up in the mask, and Wang must venture forth to save him.
From here, wall running, gunning, and using steel as if his name was “Hang Lo” is something that is present throughout the extended gameplay video. Also, boss fights come a dime a dozen too, showing off enemies like Hattori and Slinky Jakku.
Of course, after traversing broken landscapes and using the grappling hook to reach Zilla’s location, the video shows off more boss fights and traps followed by Wang’s one-liners. You can check out the newly posted gameplay video right here:
As for the game’s story, Wang and his former “employer turned nemesis turned sidekick” Zilla embark on a mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison.
Armed with blades and bullets, Wang must travel to unknown parts of the world to track down the dark beast and stop the apocalypse… again. In simple terms, Wang only needs the mask of a dead god, a dragon’s egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to hold off the “impending cataclysm.”
Lastly, Shadow Warrior 3 will release next year (2021) for PC via Steam. In the meantime, you can learn more about this game by paying its Steam page or official website a visit.
